This Baby Sweater Smells Delicious

I’m going to make this kinda quick because our Internet connection has been on the fritz lately. But I couldn’t wait to show you this yummy little sweater that I made from yarn dyed especially for me by Jeni. She used Kool Aid and, as I understand it, a turkey baster to achieve these awesome, fruity colors. And it smells great, too!
I ran out *just* shy of completing the sweater, so I filled in with a little bit of off-white on the front. (Only after I was done did I start to worry about color-fastness. Hmm.) It’s not blocked yet, and it needs a button at the neck… but you get the idea.
Thanks again, Jeni, for such a cool gift!

Great colors! I’ve been trying to leave a comment for a while to say congratulations on your exciting news, but the verification image never worked on my computer. So… here’s a belated “I’m so excited for you! Can’t wait to see the baby knits!”

How cool to see it knit-up!! I can’t wait to do more. Maybe we can have a dyeing party? no fear of noxious chemicals with kool-aid.
I’d love to dye the sock yarn that knitpicks has.
Also–I can’t WAIT to meet mini-Kate or mini-Jena.
So, so so excited for you (but you know that already, huh?
