Olympic Knitting
I’ve been hearing about many knitters who are choosing an Olympics knitting challege. The idea is to cast on for your project during the opening ceremonies on February 10 and complete the project in time for closing ceremonies on February 16. Find out more here.
My energy is coming back bit by bit, so I think I’m up for the challenge. The leading contender for patterns right now is Trellis, and I’d like to use my stash of Knit Picks Andean Treasure (color: Granite) if the gauge isn’t too small. Maybe I can do the old “make a bigger size in a smaller gauge” trick.

I’m doing Trellis for the Knitting Olympics, too. I am using KnitPicks’undyed Wool of the Andes and not really worrying about gauge - I figure babies are pretty shapeless and won’t be stressed out if the sweater isn’t a perfect body-hugging fit! =)

Ooh, did you decide to go for Olympic gold? I’d be really interested to see your progress! I’m working on my first fair isle (!) - some really great pirate mittens. Good luck with your knitting
