Spring Knits

Several pretty things in the new spring issue of Vogue Knitting. These are the two that spoke to me the most:

Lace Trim Bolero — I just bought a sweater in a similar style that has a ribbon tie in the front, and I’m finding it to be so handy for over sundresses.

Lace-up Camisole — I think I’d try to work in one or two more repeats of the lower lace pattern so that it would fall more to my hips instead of right at the waist. I really like the overall look, and especially the shape of the neckline and straps (I’m self-consious about droopy arm holes).

Both of these designs are shown in silk yarn, but I’m wondering if a mercerized cotton with a nice sheen would work just as well.

Hey, I just checked in at KnitPicks.com and I spy two new yarns added to their line-up: Radiance Wave (worsted weight alpaca/silk) and Palisade (bulky weight alpaca/wool). I’m hoping some summery fibers will crop up there soon, as well!
