Here’s some knitting content for you…

These are both from Simple Knits for Treasured Babies, which has a lot of nice simple designs and really exceptional directions (step by step photos even).

The booties are for a co-worker. We’re having a lunchtime shower later this week. The top is for an unknown baby. I made it just for fun because I liked working with the yarn so much. The back of the neck is intended to be tied shut with ribbon.

I used Cascade Indulgence. 70% Alpaca / 30% Angora. It’s soooo soft. I picked up a couple of 100g skeins last year on clearance, right before Cascade changed the packaging. (It’s now being sold in 50g balls.) I never really had a clear purpose for it, so this made for a nice stash-busting project.
