Notes to Self

11 weeks until cruise time! I bounced up and down in my seat this morning after counting up the days. Woo! Excited!

Then… holy crap, only 11 weeks until I’m supposed to be able to fit into my swimsuit and formal attire. Alarm! How in the world is that ever going to happen?! In addition to vainly wanting to look my best, wisely wanting to be healthier than I have been of late… I NEED to fit into those formal outfits because I can’t afford to go shopping for new dresses that I won’t ever wear again until we go on another fancy vacation. Hmm. What to do?

Well, last night was my second pilates class with Mom and Stephanie. That’s a good start, but one exercise class per week ain’t gonna cut it. My diet is not the best, but all I really need to do there is to drink more water and cut back on evening snacks. My achille’s heel is a total lack of regular exercise.

I don’t plan to blog about this much at all, but I just wanted to put in writing for myself that I acknowledge that something needs to be done. My goal is to add an additional day of exercise to my routine each week (that means 2x this week, 3x next week, etc.) until I get up to 4-5 times per week.

I know many others of you out and about the knit blogger ring are challenging yourselves to get more fit also. Please know that you inspire me greatly!

    Hi cousin! Looks like you already know what you need to do, but I might say, start exercising 3X a week NOW. Just go light and easy, get yourself into the routine. You don’t need to overdo it with the hard and heavy routines, but 20+minutes of aerobics 3Xweek is the key. Good luck!
