After a long absence, Zippy* the friendly neighborhood squirrel came back for another visit. I suppose I should be annoyed that he’s eating up all of the bird seed, but really I don’t mind.

How weird is it that we first met in the backyard in June of last year? Is he on some kind of annual rotation of 365 local backyards?

When I realized it was him (he doesn’t run away when I come out the back door), I quickly grabbed the camera and a special snack. As before, I was too flustered to snag a picture of him taking treats right out of my hand — but he was a good sport and posed for a few pictures before scampering off.
