Thanks, Secret Pal!
I love autumn. And the beginning of winter, too. Like a lot of people, I
suspect, the stretch from Halloween to New Year’s is my favorite time of
year. I’ve been cooking and baking more often, sewing up and assembling
costumes, thinking about Christmas shopping, and planning holiday crafts.
Oh, and playing Sims 2 — but that doesn’t really have anything to do with
the season. Apparently, blogging has not become one of my fall traditions
yet, and I’m not sure why. Here’s hoping that I can shake off my blogging
blahs and start keeping in touch a little more often.
Well, before I bring you up to date on my latest projects, I must first say
THANK YOU to Chandra for a perfectly scrumptious SKP2 package! What nice
treats! The colors and textures are wonderful — for more reasons than you
probably realize.
Here we have some recycled sari silk yarn*, two fluffy skeins of Berroco
Chinchilla**, and the cutest little “J” charm. Thank you, thank you!
* It just so happens that I sent some of this lovely stuff to my secret
pal, too — and it was sooo tempting to keep it for myself.
** The Chinchilla was especially perfect. I opened this package exactly two
days before learning that my mother-in-law is expecting to lose her hair
within the next couple of weeks (chemo treatment). One of the balls of yarn
has already been transformed into a soft cap for her to wear. An extra
thank you for this perfect gift.
Halloween updates and more coming soon! Really.

Yaaay. Keep on posting
Sorry to hear about your Mum in law. I’m sure she’ll appreciate the cap!
