Remember This?
It’s long since been finished, but I just now have a couple of pictures to share of the baby blanket that I created along with my boss for another co-worker. This co-worker was the project coordinator for a huge website redesign project, so the blanket was as much a thank-you gift as it was in honor of her new baby on the way. Just to be silly we picked colors that coordinate with the new website… which turned out to be great for a little boy’s blanket, I think!
It’s just four strips done in feather and fan with a few stitches of garter along the outer edges. Each color is one full skein of Bernat CottonTots (love that soft, brushed cotton - so soft!). I’m responsible for the orange and green panels.
Bernat doesn’t offer the bright orange color (which isn’t quite as reddish as it may appear in this photo) — so I dyed a skein of white with Rit dye. Up close, you’d see that the orange came out a tad speckled, but I like the overall effect.
