Many thanks to all of you who gave some ribbing tips. I still don’t quite have the hang of it, but then again I haven’t really given it a concentrated effort.

My attention this weekend was focused on painting the spare bedroom with the help of my very indulgent husband. In general, I really love painting projects. There’s a zen-like mode to painting when the project is well underway and I’m concentrating on the colors and fantasizing about how it’ll all turn out in the end… it’s not unlike knitting really. Except it is messier, smellier, and really wears me out.

I hope to have before and after pictures to share very soon! Here are some hints: the process involved 5 shades of paint and a whole lot of masking tape.
