New Digs
Kate moved his own blog over to WordPress several months ago — so rather than do battle with the spammers on MT, we’ve just moved craftmuffin as well. It’ll take a little while to get everything back in place and spruced up, but so far, so good.
I’m still chugging away on the “Stevie” Rowan Cork sweater for Kate. I had thought that I might finish the front over the weekend, but instead I decided I needed a little break from following the chart. (Lisa knows how I feel, I think!) So, instead I cast on for Klaralund! Yes, I’ve been slowing stashing away balls of Silk Garden #82 in anticipation. The straightforward rectangle pieces in garter and stockinette were just what I needed. I flew through the back piece and I’m a couple of inches into the front already. Pictures coming soon!
I’m finding it interesting how my appreciation is growing for all types of knitting. My theory of the moment is that I can be productive on several projects at once, so long as each one has something different to offer. I can zoom along on Klaralund for a while and feel gratified at the quick progress and smooth, even stitches. And then I can turn my attention to Stevie and marvel at the slowly emerging patterns.
What’s that? You want to remind me that I also have a few other unfinished projects that deserve some of my attention? Well, I’m not that disciplined, after all! And I do like having several things going all at once, even if some of them languish in a half-finished state for months at a time. I guess that makes me one of those “process knitters” — more concerned with doing whatever type of knitting strikes my fancy at the moment, and not terribly concerned with when things get finished.
Thanks to everyone who sent advice and moral support during my comment spam attacks. You guys rock!

I love this design, very clean and soft, Kitties are always good!
How are you finding Wordpress? I’ve been thinking about changing to that, but I’m not keen on learning a new program.

Me too me too! The redesign is great. I really hope the evil spammers don’t figure out how to mess with WordPress too. Maybe I will switch to it one of these days myself.
I’ve seen several finished Klaralunds and it’s a pretty design. People say it’s easy knitting too, which is refreshing when you’re in the middle of some other more elaborate project. Have fun!

Unfortunately, I’m finding spam is a problem with all blogs - including WordPress. But WP makes it easier to mass delete pesky spam than MT. Also there seem to be more tools available for eliminating spam with WP. If you move over to WordPress, make sure you have some kind of spam protection. Here’s a link with some spam-prevention methods:
