Klaralund Colors

Here’s the back of Klaralund in Noro Silk Garden #82 — a nice subdued fallish colorway. It’s a little lighter than it appears in this photo, but you get the idea.

The only thing that has me a bit puzzled so far about this pattern is the gauge. Looking at the knitted fabric, the gauge seems a little loose to me. However, when I measure, I’m actually getting a slightly smaller gauge than is listed in the pattern. Strange.

I’ve seen an online errata sheet that updated the pattern sizes to be a couple of inches smaller than the published pattern — maybe the gauge listed is actually a little off, as well? Shrug.

To (hopefully) compensate, I cast on four extra stitches. I could probably use a little bit more ease than the largest size anyway. We’ll see how it goes. When I hold up the completed back piece, I’m undecided. One minute, I think it’ll be plenty big… then next I’m worried that I’ll come to end and find out it’s too small.
