Had to shut down the comments feature altogether for a bit while I try to get a handle on the recent flood of comment spam. Grrr.

I’m happy to be making some progress on Kate’s “Stevie” sweater — although it doesn’t make for the most interesting progress pics. I have the back and both sleeves done already. This front piece is about halfway finished.

Time to start thinking about how I’m going to go about blocking all of these pieces in the near future… I’ve never blocked anything this big before. My usual method is to just pin small things to the ironing board, but that certainly is not going to work in this case. I think I’ll attempt to rig up a blocking board, as I’ve seen others do, out of cardboard and some checkered cotton fabric. I have a large red-checked table cloth that I’d be willing to donate to the cause.

Well, right now it’s time for me to head in to work. Bridget and I just got back from an early morning visit to the vet to get her spay surgery stitches removed. She’s also now all caught up on her kitten booster shots and has graduated to grown-up cat status. Congratulations, Bridge!
