Art of the Midwest

I’ve been feeling inspired to start sewing more again. Can you blame me, looking at all those gorgeous yards of Amy Butler fabrics?? These are all from her Ginger Bliss collection. I was collecting a yard here and there from Fabric.com (beware the tempting e-mails that come from being on Steven’s mailing list!), and then I did some Googling and came up with a fantastic deal on an assortment of patterns from another site . . . but the name and URL have slipped my mind . . . FYI, another of my favorite places to drool over cute cottons (Michael Miller, Alexander Henry, and more!) is The Cotton Shop.
Along with all of these fabrics, I also picked out a couple of patterns:

Can’t wait to start cutting! For those of you who’ve used her patterns before, did you trace them onto tissue paper first, or just go ahead and cut out the originals?

Those fabrics are gorgeous! I wish I wasn’t so cheap about fabric. Well, maybe next year when I don’t have time to sew, I’ll be willing to spend the $$ to pamper myself when I squeeze some time from THREE kids under Three!!!!!!!! wwwwahhhhhhhh.
